  Amazing place! Very popular with the locals.. it was a bit busy but we got there during the rush. Clean, straightforward and friendly. Great food! The Hickory BBQ was AWESOME! Lots of local flair!

  If you come to Mathews, Virginia and have the munchies, you need to stop at Lynn's Restaurant. The manager Charlotte is with the trip in its self. She is the epitomy of a country cook. She always makes everyone feel welcome. If you have a group meeting, bring them to lunch at Lynns, trust me they will have a time. Y'all come visit, ya hear.

  It's not Lynne's any more, it's Beach Bum BBQ now. Anyway, the food is outstanding. I had the brisket and my mom had the prime rib. We both said it was the best meal we'd had in a long, long time. The brisket was tender and the collards were out of this world. Even the hush puppies, which tend to be average elsewhere, had a nice touch in that they had whole-kernel corn in them. Sweet potato fries dusted with sugar for me, and very lightly battered and fried onion rings for my mom, rounded out the meal. Service was excellent, friendly and courteous. I would definitely come here again. In fact, maybe tomorrow, maybe for breakfast.
